The soaring temperature and humidity have been unforgiving on my skin lately, which is why I found myself reaching out more and more for a concealer to quickly cover up any redness on my face, even if I was heading out sans any other makeup product. Being the makeupholic that I am, I have collected a shameful number of concealing products, but today I’m going to talk about my absolute favourite range of concealers – the LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer.
Pricing and Availability
One of the best things about this particular concealer is the fact that it is so budget friendly! People living in the US can probably pick this up at any drugstore, but unfortunately these are not yet available in Pakistan. However, lots of online shopping stores stock them – I got mine from Beauty Bar (you can purchase them here). You can check out my post on reliable makeup stores in Pakistan here to check out more options – bear in mind, however, that the price of the LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer may vary depending on where you buy it from.
How to Use It
I have three tubes of the LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in the following colours: 1) Pure Beige 2) Medium Beige and 3) Toast. I’ve swatched them below (in the same order, top to bottom), so you can check out the colours and pigmentation for yourself.
The LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer has a built in brush applicator. For a subtle cream highlight, I sweep on the concealer where I want to highlight – the bridge of my nose, under my eyes, on my chin and right below my contour to clean it up – and use a Real Techniques foundation brush to blend it into my skin.
For spot concealing, I use the shade Medium Beige, since it works best with my skin tone. I simply squeeze out a small amount of the product (depending on which area I want to cover) and brush it directly onto my face. I then use a small Real Techniques foundation brush to press it into my skin until I’m happy with how it looks. If I need more coverage, I simply squeeze out more product and repeat the above process.
For contouring, I use the shade Toast, a deep, cool brown shade, in the hollows of my cheekbones, on the sides of my nose and on my forehead and temples. I blend this out using a Real Techniques contour brush.
The LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer has great pigmentation and is super creamy, which makes it easy to blend. At the same time, however, the product does not feel heavy or cakey on the skin.
Super great addition to my makeup bag! Here’s why:
- Budget friendly (they’re under $5!)
- Creamy and blendable (actually comparable to a lot of high-end concealers)
- Don’t look cakey or patchy on my skin.
