After my first Conatural haul, I’ll be honest and say I wasn’t a very satisfied customer. I had high hopes from the brand, and it did not live up to my expectations. Having said that, I wasn’t one to back down – so I gave it another shot. This time, I purchased the Conatural Advanced Super Revitalise Whitening Cream, which you can check out here.
Pricing and Availability
You can order the product online by clicking on the link I provided, where it retails for Rs. 1800 (plus delivery charges). I got mine from the massive new Al-Fatah store, where it was priced a little bit higher than that (what’s up with that, by the way?!). However, impatient soul that I am, saw it, wanted it, got it.
How to Use It
The package states instructions on how to use it – basically, you’re meant to neatly apply it to your face at night, after washing and cleansing it thoroughly, of course. And that’s exactly what I did too. After washing my face with a face wash and applying a toner using a damp cotton ball, I applied the Conatural Advanced Super Revitalise Whitening Cream using my fingertips in circular motions, massaging it into my face until it was absorbed into the skin.
I read up a loooot of reviews before I actually bought the product, and everyone mentioned how the texture seemed really thick to touch but didn’t feel that way when you actually applied it. And I completely agree with that. For me, at least, a little went a long way. Also, once I applied it using the method described above, my skin did not feel oily.
EDIT: I forgot to add – the product photography on the brand’s website is very deceiving. Their products are SUPER SMALL. I felt betrayed.
But please, PLEASE read on.
I have unfortunately been cursed with combination skin, which means I have an oily T-zone. However, it’s nothing that can’t be controlled using a simple face wash (I use a vitamin C cleanser by Murad). After applying the Conatural Advanced Super Revitalise Whitening Cream, I found that I did wake up to soft, supple skin. Furthermore, I was also getting compliments within literally a week of usage on how fresh and dewy my skin looked – so yes, it really did revitalise my skin quite literally.
But (and this is a BIG, BIG, BIG BUT), it also caused me to break out. So I had super soft, glowing skin dotted with a few red spots here and there. I got scared thinking that it will probably ruin my entire face, so I’ve stopped using it altogether and the jar is lying neglected in some corner of my moisturisers’ tub. Sigh.
Final thoughts? I’m not getting this again. I mean, having super soft skin at the cost of breaking out doesn’t seem worth it to me. I’d rather have clear skin and use other products to keep my skin looking fresh, like rosewater or a simple lemon, sugar and cucumber scrub.
Let me know in the comments below if you have oily/combination skin and are looking for a few tips on how to care for it! Also I would love to know what works for you if you already are doing something to treat it!
